The Peer Waer Foundation is a cultural initiative dedicated to safeguarding the musical and folk traditions of Kashmir. Inspired by the life and work of Gulzar Ahmad Ganai, we promote inter-community harmony, support emerging artists, and bring Kashmiri heritage to global audiences.
Gulzar Ahmad Ganai, born in Mirgund, Baramulla, has devoted more than three decades to Kashmiri folk, Sufiyana, and light music. His soulful voice and deep connection to tradition have made him a cultural ambassador of Kashmir, bringing the valley’s melodies to national and international stages.
